ORNAMENTAL TREE SHAPING
Shaping trees is an art form. It takes more than just the right tools, it takes an eye for symmetry, balance, patience, knowledge of correct pruning techniques to give the tree a healthy trim. Architectural shape that is appropriate for the species. A correct pruning will allow the tree to truly shine, produce beneficial growth and control its leaders and branches.
Before and after shaping in on a Weeping Japanese Maple. This tree was much overdue for a haircut! Where to even begin! However this transformation really lets this tree shine as the staple specimen in the front of this home.
Before and after shaping in on a Weeping Japanese Maple. This tree had a lot of ferns and weeds growing beneath it, which are hidden from its waterfall like branches hanging low. After giving it a lift, removing the weeds and transplanting the ferns who were living beneath, and adding a layer of compost around the entire base and drip line of the tree - this transformation is a win!
